This month it is October and one of the prettiest times in the Hocking Hills as the leaves turn to beautiful colors. Most of the cabins have been booked by now, but it is still a lovely day trip if you are within driving distance.
This month I also chose a leaf drawing for you to color. If you have kids or grandchildren have them color it for a memento. Since it is a page out of Volume 1 of my Adult Coloring Book, “Get Back to Nature” you can have at it yourself. Coloring is very stress relieving and brings back wonderful memories of childhood fun.
You can use what you have on hand. I have used crayons, colored pencils, markers, gel pens and water color. Each one is fun to experiment with. But the smell of the crayons surprised me. It is a smell you never forget. So let the child out in you and have a good time letting your creative juices flow.
This is the cover of the coloring book this months page was taken from. It is available on Amazon.com at a link at the right, at BarnesandNoble.com, and locally in the Hocking Hills at the Wind Chime Shop and Psalm 121 Discount Books and Gifts in Logan. Pick up a copy and you can also color Ash Cave State Park, Old Man’s Cave State Park and Cedar Falls. Have fun and let you creative spirit run wild when you visit the Hocking Hills.
