This months picture is one of the most full waterfalls that I have ever photographed for Ash Cave State Park. It was spring time and with all the showers we had some of the local roads were flooded. This extra water has to go somewhere and that meant the waterfall over the cave was way over it’s normal amount.
While walking back to the cave it sounded like Niagra Falls. I had never seen so much water going over the edge of the cave.
Spring starts this month and with it the showers will come. I mention this only because local weather reports will show when Hocking County will flood. It is during these times that the overflow will create stunning waterfalls in the area.
I like this photo so much, I used it as the cover for my current ebook called, “Hocking Hills Highlights“.
